# Donations

The course on vipassana.life is donation-based. The whole of it is open to everyone, whether or not you give.

## What donations pay for

- Hosting and the audio the course is made of.
- Recording Parts 2 to 5, in three languages.
- Translation and review.
- The projects on the roadmap, once the course itself is funded.

## The audiobook edition of Part 1

An audiobook edition of Part 1 is also sold through audiobook stores. It is the same five days, packaged for listeners who prefer to buy a recording outright. The course on this site is complete and remains donation-based; nothing in it is behind a price.

## Why "nonprofit" is not used here

Vipassana.life is run on a donation basis by an individual teacher. No non-profit entity is registered, so donations are not tax-deductible and the site does not describe itself as a nonprofit. If that changes, this page will say so.

Through the Donate button inside the course, which uses PayPal. Give after the course if you found it useful, not before.
